Chapter 1: New Enemy

Beach, Fission City
Bendz drove onto the dunes of the local beach and made his way towards a small yet modest hut that sets near the dunes on the other side of the beach. He looked towards the passenger seat as the delicious smell of Chinese food started to fill the entire van. There was enough for two people, himself and for the owner of the hut.
Bendz parked before the hut and pulled out the key, and opened the door; he stepped out and leaned in and grabbed the Chinese food and carried it out. Bendz shut the door with his foot and made his way towards the front porch.
Bendz kicked the door as his way of knocking and called out for the owner." Hey, Bea! It's me Bendz! I bought the Chinese takeout."
The door opened revealing a very beautiful, young woman with silver-white hair and one vibrant earth green and the other dark earth brown eyes with a slender, yet curvy figure. On her head is large, blue headphone with a microphone attached to it.
Her name is Phoebe Paradigm and her father was the infamous Doctor Paradigm or, as he is now known as, Doctor Iguanoid.
"Good-morning, Fission City.” Phoebe gestured him for silence and for him to come in as she spoke into the microphone.” This is your favorite radio DJ Spice at the Siren of the Sea radio Station! There is no new news expect for there still has been no sign of the unlovable Doctor Iguanoid for two months now, so now the city can breathe a sigh of relief."
Phoebe walked over to her DJ digital controller, and sat down at her chair. She started to touch the buttons and flips at her controller.
She spoke into the microphone as she got her playlist set up with the newest and hottest hits ready for the audience." Alright, time to rock Fission City back to the Stone Age! Rock on and live hard, civilians!"
She pressed play and turned off the microphone; Phoebe set her headphones on her shoulder and turned to look at Bendz who was getting their food together on plates.
Phoebe asked as she started to check on her DJ digital controller." No seafood, right, Bendz?"
Bendz walked over to her and set her plate down by her." Nope, the owner was there today, so he knew what to put in and keep out."
Phoebe smiled up at him as she picked her chop-sticks and chowed down." Thanks, Bendz."
Suddenly a Frisbee came flying through the open window and knock into a book self, knocking down the picture, books and figurines from it to the ground.
Bendz grabbed the Frisbee and went to the door." Excuse me while I go scare some kids."
Phoebe laughed as she set her plate down and walked over to the mess caused by the Frisbee. Her laughter died when her fingers hovered over a picture frame, Phoebe smiled sadly at it as she picked it up and looked at the picture of four boys, a man, a girl and a woman in the group shot.
The picture was Phoebe and her mother with the Bolton brothers and their father. It was the last photo they took as it was during the week when their father disappeared, and the boys were transformed into humanoid sharks.
Phoebe stood up and set the picture by her DJ digital controller and went back to pick up the books and sea creatures figurines.
Phoebe step back and looked at how she had the figurines and books and nodded in acceptance of it before she turned back and walked towards her controller and sat back down on the chair with her legs up and under her.
Phoebe grabbed her headphones and slipped them back on and turned on the microphone, speaking into it." Welcome back, folks, to the modern time. I had to pick up things that some kids had knocked down with their Frisbee and right now, my trusty sidekick, Bendz, is chasing them around my sandy front yard." She looked back at the front door." Well, at least I think he is. I'm before my DJ digital controller and talking to you people."
Bendz yelling from outside the hut." Yeah, I'm chasing them!"
Phoebe smiled as she turned back to her controller." Yep, that's my sidekick, folks, with the ears of a bat."
Bendz came back in and handed her a slip of paper and ran back outside, leaving Phoebe arching her brow at his departing back.
Phoebe said as she looked at the paper." Bendz just handed me a slip of paper and you folks will be excited for this juicy news. Looks like the rockin' rock star Rox is coming to this local beach near you. Time to rock on and party hard!"
Bendz walked back in and sat down grabbing another set of headphones-microphone and set it on his head, speaking into it." Hey, people! This is Bendz. Rox is really coming to this fair beach and it is rumored to be his greatest concert."
Phoebe smiled." Yeah, man! And we will be there live, folks. So if you can't go there, don't worry, you won't miss a thing with us present."
Bendz noticed the picture by her controller and looked back at her.
Phoebe got ready to play the next two songs." Alright, folks. We'll play two of his songs from his new CD to get you guys pumped up for the concert in two days. Catch you on the flip-side."
Phoebe pressed play and turned off her microphone and dropped her headphones onto her shoulders."......Have you seen the guys lately?"
Bendz scratched his head." Yeah, I hang out with them on all the time....Why?"
Phoebe looked back at him." because they seem to have cut all contact with me and my mom and I haven't seen them since. So I was wondering if they kept contact with you."
Bendz looked at her with wariness because of the open hostility in her tone." Are you mad?"
Phoebe looked at him." Gee, what gave me away? Was it my angry movement or my tone?"
"Huh, both." Bendz said as he finally noticed her jerky angry movements.
Phoebe looked at him for a moment before going back to her controller, she didn't say anything else.
"I don't think it's fair that you're mad at them for not keeping you in the loop when you did the same thing of not telling them that your father is Doctor Paradigm, Bea." Bendz said as he looked at her, fully turning in his chair.
Phoebe looked at him and then looked away." Yeah, but would they still see me as a friend and not an enemy, like my father?"
Bendz opened his mouth to tell her, to give her comfort, that the brothers wouldn't turn on her but found that he couldn't because Doctor Iguanoid had done too much damage to the brothers during the months that they first transform that Bendz didn't know for sure if they would still see her as their close friend or their greatest enemy.
And he felt terrible not being able to give her the confidence knowing that they would never betray her, see her as the enemy.
Phoebe sighed and smiled at him." Relax, Bendz, I'm not getting bend out of shape because of my blood-ties with Doctor Iguanoid nor should I care about what those guys would think about me when they do learn about it. It's not going to affect my life or theirs any more than their mutation did."
Bendz placed his hand under his chin as he watched her." So you don’t care about John anymore? What about Bobby? Last time I checked you had a certain thing for him.”
” Huh, John and I have been over since high school, Bendz.” Phoebe turned her chair and rested her elbow on the top of the chair, and waved her hand in a dismissively gesture.” And Bobby……I don’t know anymore.”
Bendz smiled at her." So do I have a chance with you now?"
Phoebe turned back and slipped her headphones back on her head." Bendz, I thought I told you were solely in the only friends’ zone."
Bendz said as he slipped his headphones on and went to the laptop that handles the sound-effects and news." So I am in the friend-zone forever, right?"
Phoebe said as she winked at him." Right." she turned on the microphone and stopped the music." Welcome back, folks, to Siren of the Sea radio station with your favorite DJ Spice and her local sidekick...."

Doctor Iguanoid's laboratory
Slobster walked over to the test tube with the dark liquid inside it, there was a curled up figure inside it." This one is different from your normal creation, Doctor Iguanoid, are you sure he will be tamed?"
Doctor Iguanoid looked at him as he was working on his computer's keyboard." Quiet, you fool, I am his creator, he will listen to me!"
Slash walked over to Doctor Iguanoid." Doctor, it would seem that the extreme Dinosaurs and Raptors are still on the planet."
"No matter as my new minion will be able to put them, as well as the Street Sharks, in their place." Doctor Iguanoid said as he finally put in the finishing touches." There, time to wake him up."
Doctor Iguanoid pressed a button and turned to watch as the liquid was drained from the tube and the glass container rose up, allowing the creature to fall onto the ground with its tail tightly wrapped around itself.
Doctor Iguanoid walked over to it and kicked it." Get up, you lazy creature, I have business for you to attend too."
The creature's eyes snapped open, revealing yellow eyes with snake-like pupils and narrowed at Doctor Iguanoid, causing the doctor and his previous creation to step away from it as its tail unwrapped itself from its upper body as it raised up on its lower tail.
Doctor Iguanoid and The Seaviates took frightened step back as it finally rose to its full height- which is nine feet tall.
The creature has the appearance of a black mamba with black scales with gray underbelly but with the hood of a King Cobra and the muscular and long lower body of an Anaconda, but his upper body is that of a muscular and lean human man with human-like hands but with claws on the tip of each finger.
The creature spotted its reflection on the mirror-like surface of the metal wall and went on his hands and slithered towards it; it rose back up and stared at its image.
Doctor Iguanoid rolled his eyes as he walked over to it." Yes, yes, you are a magnificent sight; half Black Mamba, Half King Cobra and Half Anaconda, each are dangerous alone but combined they are down-right dangerous and deadly. But I didn't create you to admire yourself in the mirror, you stupid creature, I created you to do my bidding."
The creature whipped back around at him, hissing at him in a masculine voice, revealing to be a male." Do not take that superior tone to me!" He slithered towards him causing Doctor Iguanoid to walk backwards, afraid instantly for his life." I am a predator, and you are nothing but prey. You may have created me from the DNA from the most dangerous serpents out there, but your DNA has the blending of an Iguana and my kind each them for dinner."
The serpent hybrid snapped his head away from the doctor and looked at the Seaviates standing by the test tube, cowering in fear. He hissed in disgust and slithered towards the computer; Doctor Iguanoid stepped out from the safety of his corner but only to cry out in shock when the Serpent hybrid's tail wrapped around him and dragged him along behind him.
The Serpent hybrid whipped his tail forward once he stopped before the computer and dropped the doctor onto the chair.
The Serpent hybrid pointed at the screen with his curved-clawed finger and tapped on the glass with the tip of It." now, search for the most dangerous serpents out there and create my generals."
Doctor Iguanoid stood up and whirled on him in angry." Who put you in charge, beast! I created you therefore I am the boss here!"
The Serpent hybrid grabbed him by the collar and raised him up, bringing his face close to his and snarled." I am bigger, stronger and more dangerous than you, so I will give you a choice, either join me and work as my scientist or be my dinner." He dropped him and pointed at him." It's your choice, so make it!"
Doctor Iguanoid stared up and into his eyes, trying to find that if he is telling the truth or not.
But he realized, by staring into the eyes of a cold-hearted predator, that the Serpent Hybrid was being truthful because his eyes weren't the eyes of a human but the eyes of a Serpent, a natural-born killer.
Doctor Iguanoid nodded." very well, I will work for you as your scientist."
The Serpent Hybrid looked back at the Seaviates and spoke to them." You five are allowed to live as my minions but you will answer to my top generals, do you understand?!"
The Seaviates nodded as they stood tall." Yes, sir."
The Serpent Hybrid smiled at them." Good, now it’s time for us cover this planet with the superior might of the Serpents with me reigning King of them all."

Few hours later, afternoon
Bendz knocked on the front door of the Bolton House and waited for one of the brothers to get up and answer the door.
He hurried someone coming to the door and looked over as the door opened to reveal Slamu standing there.
Slamu smiled down at him.” Oh, hey, Bendz. I didn’t know you were coming over.”
Bendz smiled up at him.” I was in the neighborhood and thought I’ll drop by and say hi.”
Slamu open the door wider for him and gestured for him to come in.” Come on it. You can hang out with the others, I’m leaving soon.”
Bendz looked at him, surprised.” Oh? You have a hot date or something?”
Slamu laughed as he stepped out of the house.” Yeah or something.”
Streex walked down the stairs and greeted Bendz, behind him was Rox and Jab.” Hey, Bendz! Long time no see!”
Bendz smiled up at him as they came to a stop by him.” Hey, Streex! Rox! It has been quite a long time since I saw you guys.”
Jab laughed.” Yeah, tell me about it. Even though it was last month that we saw you, man.”
Bendz shrugged his shoulder as he sat down on the couch.” Hey, my boss is a slave driver. She won’t let me have a day off until she could afford a bigger studio and hire more people.”
Rox asked as he sat down next to him.” So who is your boss anyways? You didn’t tell us her name.”
Streex leaned his forearms over the head of the couch.” Yeah. So who is this lady boss of yours?”
Bendz thought as he looked at them. Should I tell them? I mean she didn’t say anything about not telling them.
Bendz sighed and gave in, telling them.” It’s Phoebe Thornton.”
Jab said as Streex looked down at him in surprise.” Really? Bea? I haven’t seen her since high school. I wonder how she’s doing.”
Rox smiled.” I’m glad that she finally doing what she always loves doing.”
Jab chuckled as he remembered something.” Yeah, she was funny as the DJ at school. Remember all the times that she would talk smack about the rival football teams every time it was game day?”
Streex grinned.” Yeah, I remember. I also remember that she always got in trouble by the Principle because of it.”
Bendz smiled, joining in the memory.” She certainly had a colorful vocabulary during those rants and insults.”
Jab looked at him, agreeing with him.” I know! I’m still surprised that she and Ripster lasted as long as they did with her mouth.”
Liss walked in, asking them.” Who are you guys talking about?”
Jab looked up at her, answering her.” Oh, you don’t know, huh? Well, we’re talking about Ripster’s old flame in school, her name is Phoebe Thornton.”
Liss raised her brow as she asked.” Isn’t that the real name of DJ Spice?”
“Yeah.” Bendz said,” the two were an item in school and they worked it out perfectly despite Bea’s famous temper and her bluntness.”
Liss sat down by him and asked.” So she was his total opposite?”
Bendz laughed as he nodded.” Oh, yeah. Like water and oil. Those two were totally opposite of each other but that’s what kept the relationship strong and honest until he came along and ruined it.”
Liss thought about something before saying.” You’re talking about Adrian, huh?”
Bendz looked at her, surprised.” You know about Adrian?”
Liss sighed as she ruffled her hair.” I met the guy when Johnny and I were out. There was a lot of tense in the air when they were talking.”
Jab gave a half-laugh.” Yeah, ‘tense’ is a nice way of putting it.”
Bendz looked at them.” I’ll say! I’m still surprised that Bea is still even talking to him.”
Streex looked at him, frowning.” Why would she keep contact with that asshole?”
Bendz shrugged.” It’s probably because while he may not be boyfriend material, he’s still friend material to her.”
Streex went quiet before turning to Bendz with a slow smile.”……So….Is she single?”
Bendz looked at him before laughing.” I highly doubt that she’ll even give you the chance to do anything to her, Streex.”
Slamu suddenly walked in, looking at his cell phone.” Looks like I got dumped over a girl’s night out.”
The guys watched him as he walked up the stairs before they looked at each other.
Streex asked.” Did any of you know he has a girlfriend or something?”
Jab shook his head.” Nope. You know our brother, he’s really private.”
Rox said with a laugh as he picked up the remote.” Must be hard in this house.”

Meanwhile,
Phoebe stared at the picture of her mother setting before her on her desk with her DJ equipment lying to the side of her. It was still set-up as her desk is surprisingly huge, thanks to her older brother, Christopher. She stared into a face similar to her own but more soft and mature than her own.
Both Phoebe and her mother looked so similar that everyone thought they were sisters. But the only way to tell them apart was their personalities: Phoebe was more like a tomboy while her mother was the epitome of a lady. And she was surprised that her mother was able to raise her so well without blowing her top whenever Phoebe got an attitude with her.
Phoebe than remembered John Bolton and gave a half-smile. Not Just mom. I’m still surprise that John stayed with me as well. According to my brothers, I can be quite a handful.
Serious, calm and quite indifferent at times, John Bolton was her boyfriend during school and he was able to handle her temperamental, aggressive and outspoken nature like a pro. He had surprisingly large amount of patience when it came to her but there was times that they would argue and get into fights but eventually they would realize they were both in the wrong and apologize.
Phoebe was friends with all the Bolton boys but there was someone she actually thought a lot about and she didn’t even know why she was thinking about more than John and she still doesn’t know why to this day.
And that was Robert Bolton, the younger brother.
Phoebe thought as how he was an absolute ladies-man back in the day and her temper snapped. Why would I think about a guy like him? He gives all men a bad name. Then she blinked her eyes in shock at how fast her temper had snapped when she thought about his womanizing ways. Eh? Why did I just suddenly get so angry?
Phoebe looked at the picture of her mother once again and sighed. Even though it’s great to be on my own but it’s time like this that I miss my mom and brothers and I feel so alone.
Phoebe turned her head towards the door, where someone was knocking on it. She walked over to the door and opened it up to see her two most bestest friends on the front porch.
Danielle Dubois and Jets Taylor, or as he is now known as, Moby, stood in front of her doorway.
Phoebe smiled at them and stepped to the side in order to allow them to enter her home.” Hey, guys. I’m glad you made it.”
Danielle smiled at her and spoke in a Honey magnolia accent.” Hey, sugah!”
Moby gently pushed Danielle into the house and stepped in after her, allowing Phoebe to close the door behind them.” Thanks for inviting over for our usual movie night.”
Phoebe smiled as she sheepishly shrugged.” Yeah, sorry about being so busy for you guys.”
Moby hugged her to him, smiling.” Hey, we’re your best friend. We understand how important this is to you.”
Phoebe hugged him back, smiling.” Oh! You guys are the best!”
Danielle joined in, hugging Phoebe from behind.” Hey! Let me join in!”
Moby laughed as he draped his arms over their shoulders and led them towards the couch.” Alright! Let’s get this party started!”
Phoebe was holding up DVDs as Danielle was setting on the couch, reading a magazine and Moby was preparing popcorn for them.” Alright, we have a choice from comedy, romance, horror or action.”
Moby said as he smiled at her.” Horror is out of that list as you hate horror.”
Phoebe smiled as she tossed it back into the pile.” Damn Skippy!”
Danielle asked as she looked up from the magazine.” Why would y’have a horror movie in yer collection if y’didn’t like it?”
Phoebe mumbled as she tapped one of the DVDs.” It’s not mine. It’s Bendz; he must have forgotten to take it with him when he lifted for today.”
Moby leaned over from above and pointed to a movie.” What about that one?”
Phoebe grabbed it and tossed it up to him.” I’ve been meaning to watch it actually, so yeah.”
Moby caught it and put it in.” Great, now let’s enjoy our movie night!”
Danielle said as Phoebe sat down next to her.” We b’tter get thi’ party started b’cause Ah jus’ canceled a date fer thi’.”
Moby looked at her.” But we always do this on Friday, so don’t act like this is new to you.”
Danielle waved her hand at him in a dismissal gesture which irritated Moby.” Wh’tever, sugah.”
Phoebe laughed as Moby got Danielle in a headlock and Danielle trying to pile him off her. But it’s these two that keeps me from feeling so alone for long and I love them for it.

Next day, Morning
”It was almost one in the morning by the time Jets and Dani decided to leave and go home.” Phoebe yawned as she walked towards the local, and yet popular, coffee shop.” Man! Am I beat!”
She entered the coffee shop and walked passed a lone Tiger shark-man at a table, waiting for his order. Phoebe didn’t actually realize he was there but instead kept walking but he was watching her as she walked passed him.
Phoebe looked around her and saw that there was an odd number normal people mixed in with the mutates. It took a long time for the normies (non-mutated people) to accept the mutated ones, and that was no thanks to the BAM, the group that didn’t like the gene-slammers and considered them monsters only and not humans.
Phoebe crossed her arms as she walked towards the counter. It’s not like they wanted to be gene-slammed. It’s my old man’s fault that happened to them.
Streex watched the woman walked passed him, she didn’t even look at him, not even spare a glance as she passed him.
She was one beautiful woman with an exquisite, delicate, heart-shaped face. Her eyes were disturbing and exotically beautiful, turquoise eyes; the eyes were exotic slanted and almond-shaped, like a cat. A thick fringe of black lashes framed those extraordinary eyes, while black brows arched gently above them. Her lips are soft and full, Cupid's bow-shaped, with a small beauty mark on her chin. Her nose was straight and slender.
The crowning glory to her beauty was her hair, its silver-white waves tumbling from her head to her knees. Thick, lush and wavy, it gave her golden skin an exotic glow.
Her figure was slender yet had all the curves.
She wears a white cup-sleeved shirt with a low-cut U-shaped neckline, on the front of her shirt, is a black shark jaw with black word printed above and below it; and it reads 'Bite' on top and 'me' on bottom. The shirt reveals a small portion of her naval, revealing to have a shark jaw naval piercing on her belly button; and faded, flared-leg jeans that are torn on the thighs and knees. The jeans sets low on her hips, revealing the head of a sea horse on her right inner hip-bone. She also wears black wedged tennis shoes.
She wears different color bracelets on both wrists, and a white seashells anklet on her right ankle, and she wears her ears pierced in an avant-garde style, with two blue identical pairs of hoop earrings on each earlobe and an additional two blue cuff studs worn vertically on her right ear, above the others.
Streex straightened immediately once he got a good look at her from behind as in he got to see that she has a very shapely derrière on her; it was the sight of her swaying derrière that got his full attention, as well as her looks and front of her body. But her derrière was very shapely and toned, probably due to years of either working out or doing Tae Kwon Do, and it looked incredible in those jeans she was wearing.
But Streex couldn’t shake the feeling that he had met this woman before and he couldn’t place where he had met her.
Streex watched her order a drink for the cashier and paid the man, and then she made her away towards the other side of the counter and waited for her order to be fulfilled.
Streex stood up and made his way towards her. Couple of women spotted him approaching and gave him a ‘come-hither’ look but he passed them by, surprising them as he continued his pursuit to the woman.
He stopped by her side and smiled down at her as he placed one of his arms on the counter’s surface.” Hi, sexy lady.”
The woman looked up at him, surprised, and he was once again overcome with the feeling that he had met her before. This was odd because there was no way he could of forgotten woman like her.
Streex said as he realized he was staring at her." So, I guess you’re a normal customer here, huh? Well, if I had known that a sexy lady such as yourself comes here, I would have come here sooner, Babe."
“……..No way……” The woman said with annoyance in her voice as she sighed and crossed her arms. “…So you forgot me but you remembered to call me 'Babe' but maybe you call all the women you meet 'Babe', Bobby."
"Huh, do I know you?" asked Streex as he rubbed the back of his neck in a confused manner.
The woman rolled her eyes as she rubbed her temple with one hand while keeping the other folded across her waist." Why am I not surprised?" She looked at him and crossed her arms under her breasts, showing them up and against each other in an unconscious gesture." It's me, Phoebe Thornton."
Streex's mouth literally dropped open in shock recognition of his and his brothers' childhood friend." Bea! I hadn't seen you since we were eighteen, the both of us!"
"And you forgot about me in those three years?! I always looked like this since I was thirteen!" said a very annoyed and angry Phoebe as she pointed at her face.” Really?! Are you as dumb as you look?!”
Streex grinned sheepishly at her.” Sorry, but I seem to remember that you wore glasses.”
Phoebe examined as she slightly flinched.” Urk! Okay, okay. You’re right. I did change during those three years.” She gave him an once-over and said,” But looks like you changed more than I have.” Phoebe thought. Did my father do this to him?
Streex shrugged as he smiled at her.” Yeah, you can say that I had a make-over that was not of my choosing.”
Phoebe asked, as she tapped her nails on the counter.” So what happened to you?”
Streex crossed his arms over his chest, answering her.” It was Doctor Paradigm that did this to my brothers and me, as well as Jets.”
Phoebe didn’t react to that but she did inwardly flinch at that. Should I really still be mad at them for not keeping contact with me when it was him that made them into this?
Phoebe shook her head but then she realized that Streex held a certain tone in his voice that made her look at him and narrowed her eyes at him, asking.” Why do I get this distinct feeling that you actually like your new form?”
Streex put his chin on the heel of his other hand as he gave her a toothy smile.” What makes you say that?”
Phoebe gestured at his appearance.”  That you reek of sexual confidence and vanity despite your appearance, Bobby.”
Streex gave her a hot once-over.” It’s not just me, Babe. You also reek of sexual confidence and vanity.”
Phoebe glared at him.” I’m confident, yes. But I’m not vain about it like you seem to be, Bobby.”
Streex opened his mouth but he noticed a very pretty cashier staring at him with a heated look in her eyes. He gave her a smile as Phoebe watched him with an annoyed expression on her face.
Phoebe said as she took her white chocolate mocha from the employee.” Un-freakin’-believable! Look, Bobby, it’s nice to see you but I got to go. Later!”
Phoebe walked off with Streex watching her leave. He turned his head as the female employee gave him his order of coffees. Streex barely spare her a smile before he walked out of the coffee shop and followed after Phoebe.
Phoebe slightly turned her head when she heard footsteps hurrying after her and faintly smiled as she thought. Yep, I still got it. Then she frowned at her own thoughts, snapping her back into reality. Eh? Why the hell did I just think that way?
Phoebe sipped her mocha calmly as Streex came to walk alongside her.” What is it, Bobby?”
Streex didn’t say anything but instead he suddenly wrapped his arm around her waist, surprising Phoebe, and he brought her up against him, almost making Phoebe to spill her drink on him and her.
Streex smiled down at her surprised upturn face.” What’s your hurry? We need to catch up, Babe?”
Phoebe gave him a look as she had her hands on his chest in order to keep their bodies from fully touching.” As in talking?”
Streex said as he brought his face closer to hers.” I think you know what I was actually referring too, Babe.”
Phoebe reached up and touched his lips with her fingers, stopping his lips from coming any closer.” Wow, that’s a tempting thought but I have to decline, Tiger.” Then she smiled flirtatiously at him and scratched underneath his chin.” Why don’t you look me up when I actually have time for one-time flings?”
Streex said as he released her and watched her walk away from him.” Oh? And what’s the number?”
Phoebe flashed him a smile over her shoulder as she said.” It’s 1-800-Bite-Me.”
Streex smiled as he watched her walk away from him. Oh, yeah. There’s the sassiness that I developed an attraction towards.

Phoebe was heading back to her house as her phone ringed suddenly and looked down into her messenger bag as she searched for her cell phone.
Phoebe answered the phone once she found it and held it up to her ear.” Hello?”
Rox’s voice sounded through the piece against her ear.” Hey, Bea. It’s me, Melvin.”
Phoebe said as she went to her mail box and opened it to check the mail.” Hey, Melvin. What can I do for you?”
Rox asked her.” Are you still game for tomorrow?”
Phoebe smiled as she grabbed the mail and closed the lid; she walked towards her house once again.” You know it! I wouldn’t miss it for the world.”
Rox laughed.” Great! I’ll see you tomorrow than! Bye!”
“Bye, Melvin.” Phoebe said as she hanged up and put her phone back into her messenger bag.
Phoebe walked passed a large group of bushes along the sandy path but she turned around quickly when the bushed suddenly moved, scaring her.
She held her bag to her chest as she took a step back from the bushes and gasped when her feet touched something and turned to see a branch lying behind her. Phoebe reached down and picked it up and held it before her like a sword.
Phoebe gripped the branch tightly as the bushes shook once again and waited for whoever was there to come out so that she could bash their head open.
Suddenly a blur shoot out the bushes and Phoebe was so startled by it that she dropped the branch and fell back to land hard on her butt. She raised her arms to shield herself from the attack.
But it never came and she slowly lowered her arms and opened her eyes to see a calico cat sitting in front of her.
Phoebe stared at it for a while before blinking at it and falling back onto the sand, sighing.” Sweetie, you scared me to death.”
The cat meowed at her before it turned and bolted away from her. Phoebe sat up and rubbed the back of her head as she watched the cat disappear through the fence the separates the beach from the parking lot.
Phoebe sighed as she turned around and continued her journey home. I keep forgetting there’s a cat that hangs around here…..I can’t understand why I forgot as Shadow keeps getting into a fight with that cat.
A shiver suddenly erupted through her body, causing Phoebe to hug herself and slowly turned around to look around her. But she didn’t see anyone around.
Phoebe scanned the area around her slowly and thought. What was that? It almost felt like someone was watching me.
Phoebe gave one last look around before she turned and hurried to her house.
Unbeknownst to her, two serpentine-like eyes were watching her as she walked towards her house and disappeared into it once she reached it.
Phoebe leaned against the door and slid down from it to sit on the ground before it and touched her hands to her face and finally let out the breath that she was holding all the way here.
She gently jerk when she felt something brushing against her calves and dropped her hands from her face when she saw her Donskoy cats, Shadow and Luna, rubbing against her calves.
Phoebe sighed as she reached out and stroked their heads.” Geez, you two. Don’t scare me like that. I just had a near death experience.”
She stood up and went towards her bed and fell on it as Shadow and Luna followed after her. Shadow stayed on the ground as Luna leapt onto the bed and lay down next to her as Phoebe lay on the bed.
Phoebe turned her head and noticed that the light on her answering machine was blinking. She sat up and crawled towards it, pushing the button and sat back on the bed to listen to the message.
Phoebe spotted Luna and picked her up to cuddle her against her breasts, Shadow decided to join them on the bed and he landed by her hips and rubbed against her side before lying down next to her.
“Hey, Bebe. It’s Leo.” Leonardo’s voice came through the speakers of the answering messaging, causing Phoebe to look at it.” I’m calling you because mom wants to see you and she doesn’t care that you are busy. She just wants to see you. I just wanted to tell you that, so come over to the hospital whenever you get the chance to. Bye.”
The answering machine switched off, letting Phoebe know that she had no more messages. She sighed as she leaned her head against the wall as she stared up at the ceiling before she wrapped her arms around her knees and drew her legs up against her chest.
Suddenly her cell phone went off, causing Phoebe to let out a startled scream, scaring Shadow and Luna off the bed and under it.
She grabbed her phone as she thought. Wow, that startled me so much! I thought my heart was going to stop. She grabbed her phone and looked at the caller id. I don’t know who this is but better to answer it before Shadow decides to make my laundry basket his sandbox again.
Phoebe answered it.” Hello?”
“Hey, Babe! It’s me!” said a very happy Streex on the other end of the phone, which caused Phoebe to fall off her bed in surprisement.
Phoebe sat up and said into the phone.” How did you get this number?!”
Streex laughed.” I asked Moby if he had your number because I didn’t get it today and he gave it to me.”
Phoebe thought as she glared off in the distance, imaging beating the crap out of Moby. He’s a dead man once I get my hands on him, mark my word!!
“……..” Streex was quiet before he asked, surprising Phoebe.” What’s wrong?”
Phoebe looked at the phone, asking.” Nothing is wrong. Why are you asking?”
“Because you don’t have that usual sassiness in your voice whenever you talk to me, Babe.” Streex said, causing Phoebe to jerk slightly.
Phoebe thought as she placed her hand on her forehead. Sometimes I can’t tell if he’s a flirt or a gentleman when he shows this caring side to him, randomly, like this. Phoebe finally sighed and said.”….I’m fine. Really. I just had a long day today.”
”……Alright. Just call me when something does happen that you know you can’t handle alone, Babe.” Streex was silent before he spoke up.” I’m always here for you, Babe.”
Phoebe smiled as she said.” Yeah…I know. Bye, Tiger.”
She hanged up, looking at the phone, as she thought. He may not make good boyfriend material but he does make good friend material.
